Comparison with the CBT's listening section
Special features of the listening section
Part A (Short Conversation) of the CBT has been removed. This listening section now consists mostly of part B. The script has been lengthened. There are two kinds of lectures: an academic lecture that consists only of one speaker, and an interactive lecture that consists of multiple speakers, just like a realistic situation between a professor and students in a classroom.

The student may take notes while listening. The Replay Question is a new question type, which provides a specific part of the listening script and asks the speaker's stance or attitude. In addition to American accented lecturers, British accented lecturers have also been added to make the lecture more realistic.
